Leigh, with respect, I don't think this is an appropriate action for this list. LinkedIn is a totally invasive site. It is possible that when you joined LinkedIn, it simply took over your mailing list and mailed the 'invitation' out to every address you have, including this one--which just proves my point about how invasive it is.
