I
am drafting Notes for the NRG on Kipling’s poem “London Stone”.
It
is dated Nov. 11, 1923 and clearly commemorates Kipling’s presence at the
service at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Day.
Can
anyone tell me whether he was there officially on account of his membership of
the Imperial War Graves commission?
