High Life Highland are looking for a Records Manager to work at the Highland Archive Centre in Inverness. High Life Highland is a charitable trust providing an archive and records management service to the Highland Council. Duties include:

·         Develop, promote and implement an effective records management system to enable Highland Council and High Life Highland (HLH) to manage their records efficiently.

·         Develop and maintain a Records Management Plan which is compliant with the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011.

·         To collaborate with the Highland Council and the area archivists in the development of the Highland Council’s Hub and Spokes Strategy for Archives and Records, with particular emphasis on the development of the Records Management Service.

·         Proactively identify and monitor legislative, policy and best practice developments and trends which may impact on the Council or HLH, and initiate strategies to respond to them.

·         To develop and disseminate good practice in Records Management across the Council and HLH by the provision of guidance and training for staff at all levels in all services.

·         To lead in the development of corporate retention schedules based on the model produced by the Scottish Council for Archives.
