At the moment anyone who has access to a folder or document can change the access controls on that item. We are considering removing this permission so that only our Information Management team can apply/amend access controls. This means that people would have to ask the IM team for any changes to access that they need. I’d be interested know whether this is a common approach to managing access controls, and whether it is only feasible for smaller organisations?
