Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

 

Multimodal Assessment of Traumatic Brain Injury

 

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is now accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to support the Laboratory for Neurocognitive Research at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the U.S. Department of Defense Medical School.

 

The fellow will contribute to clinical research funded by the Department of Defense to develop and validate novel technologies for the assessment of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Research will include eye tracking, EEG, ERP, fMRI and DTI with active duty, veteran, and civilian participants. Work will take place within a multidisciplinary academic/medical setting, including opportunities for collaboration with other scientists in the D.C. metro area and nationwide. Individualized and group training activities and didactics will be provided consistent with the candidate’s goals and interests. Opportunities for clinical training and supervision may be available as an adjunct to primary research activities.

 

Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have completed all requirements for a doctoral degree in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, medicine, biomedical engineering, or equivalent. Previous experience analyzing and interpreting results of eye tracking, EEG, ERP, or fMRI is required. Software programming and cognitive task design skills are desirable.
