Hi Rachel
For years our metal cabinets were fine, they were in a locked and barred room within our exams office.
Then the year before last they had to find something wrong – so they said we also needed metal locking bars on the cabinets.
We went to a local locksmith who made ours up and fitted them – see attached.

Subject: Exams Metal Cabinets
Hi All,
I new secure storage has been inspected today, he is happy with the actual cupboard but not the metal cabinets we keep the examination papers in. I am appealing to JCQ but
if you have a metal cabinet do you also have a full length external locking bar? This is what we have failed on, even though in the past our metal cabinets have been acceptable. Interested to know what every one else has really in case I need to do a manic
buy of either new cabinets or find some locking bars!
