Publishing in English journals is important but challenging for many
non-native speakers of English. The Association of American Geographers (AAG)
has put together two panel sessions at the 2014 AAG Annual Meeting that
focus on the issues and challenges non-native speakers of English face when
they attempt to publish their work in Anglo-American journals. Editors of
the *Annals of the* *Association of American Geographers, The Professional
Geographer, The AAG Review of Books,* and other journals will discuss their
experience regarding how to address these issues or challenges. Authors and
manuscript reviewers will also share their experience, either with respect
to their success or failure in publishing in English journals. There will
be plenty of time for open discussion among the audience. Information about
the two sessions is as follows:
