The Board of Directors of the National Authority of Records and Archives (NARA) yesterday held its first meeting this year, chaired by His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tareq al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture and Chairman of NARA Board of Directors. The meeting addressed many topics concerning NARA future trends and plans. The Board reviewed the ongoing plan and working methodology of the electronic document management system for 17 government entities. The meeting was briefed on the implementation of the plan and the steps taken to implement this programme in its first stage, which is expected to have a significant impact on the organisation and management of electronic documents and the link of government agencies through an electronic system with NARA.
