'An Introduction to Heritage and Collections’
April 28th 2014 from 10 am until 4pm The Canal Museum, Kings Cross, LONDON

This is an introductory course which aims to provide an overview to the management and delivery of heritage and collections in communities.

The training is suitable for volunteers and community groups beginning to develop or deliver heritage projects. Managers and Portfolio holders with new responsibilities for libraries, archives and heritage services

At the end of the day, attendees will have

•received an introduction to heritage

•developed a good understanding of the principles  which underpin collections management

•acquired and understanding of and some basic skills  to increase participation
