The North East Regional Archives Council will be sponsoring three day-attendances at the ARA conference for anyone working or studying in the north east of England who might benefit from attending and who would otherwise not have the opportunity to go. The places may be all on the same day or on separate days. The conference programme is available at http://www.archives.org.uk/ara-conference/the-ara-conference.html Anyone interested in taking up one of these places should send an application (no more than 2 sides of A4 please) setting out what they would hope to get out of participating and specifying which day they would like to attend to [log in to unmask] by noon on Friday 30 May. Successful candidates will be notified within two weeks. Please note that the sponsorship does NOT include travel or accommodation, and applicants or their institutions must be members of the Archives & Records Association, be prepared to join (see http://www.archives.org.uk/membership/membership.html for information) or cover the differential in conference rate (£110) themselves.
