The Young Statistician's Section of the Royal Statistical Society are taking their infamous funding workshop on the road and teaming it with all you might ever want to know about publishing! Where have we chosen as our first destination? Well as the host of this year's conference, we decided to team up with the Royal Statistical Society Sheffield Local Group and host it there.
 
Please join us on Thursday 8th May in the Hicks Building at the University of Sheffield (Lecture Theatre 11) between 5:30pm and 8pm for what promises to be an exciting collection of talks discussing all things funding and publishing.  The programme for the evening is as follows:
 
5:00 - 5:30    Arrival - drinks and snacks available
5:30 - 5:45    Introduction to the evening, the RSS and YSS
                         Elizabeth Boggis (YSS and RSS Sheffield Committees)
5:45 - 6:15    Obtaining funding, the applicants view

6:15 - 6:45    Obtaining funding, a panel members view
                         Prof. Jane Hutton (NIHR Panel Member)
6:45 - 7:00    Break - drinks and snacks available
7:00 - 7:30    Why should we publish and a reviewers point of view
