SECOND announcement for BURWALLS Annual Meeting for Teachers of Medical Statistics: 2nd - 4th July 2014

Burwalls is historically a small annual meeting with the aim of encouraging the sharing of ideas among those responsible for teaching statistics (and evidence based medicine) to medical students and other health care professionals.

Date/time/place
This year the meeting will be held at the University of Aberdeen from midday 2nd July until lunchtime on 4th July 2014.
The residential cost will be £275 which includes all meals and two nights single ensuite accommodation (2nd and 3rd July).
Additional nights can be requested at the time of booking.
A non-residential fee is available (£175).

Programme Information
Our invited speaker is Professor Mike Campbell from Design, Trials & Statistics, ScHARR, The University of Sheffield.

On the second day the dinner will take place within the historic Kings College and the after dinner speaker will be Sir Ian Diamond, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Aberdeen, previously chief executive of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and well known for his work with the CENSUS.

A number of talks will be given by members of the University of Aberdeen but we have some spaces available for delegates to present.
If you are interested in presenting, please contact the organisers  ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> and [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> ) ASAP (and no later than Friday 13th June) with your suggested topic including a short summary.
