Hello
As I may have mentioned in some meetings (and now requested by atlas below) it is recommended to use the latest version of this "N2N" library - that only works with rucio filepaths and gets rid of the LFC interaction.
should just be a yum update of that rpm with the wlcg repo enabled:
yum update --enablerepo=*wlcg* xrootd-server-atlas-n2n-plugin
The version is v2.0-1.
For DPM you can configure this with the "sitename" option as documented at
https://svnweb.cern.ch/trac/lcgdm/wiki/Dpm/Xroot/Setup#ATLASfederationfor the yaim variable:
DPM_XROOTD_FED_ATLAS_NAMELIB= "XrdOucName2NameLFC.so root=/dpm/<dpm domain>/home/atlas match=dpm-srm-host.example.com pssorigin=localhost sitename=ATLAS_SITENAME"
and probably restarting xrootd.
Hopefully this will make things more stable.
Let me know if you have any issues.
Thanks
Wahid

Dear Cloud support,
The FAX team has released a new C++ N2N rpm v2.0-1
"xrootd-server-atlas-n2n-plugin-2.0-1" (Java N2N is independent of
this). This new release supports RUCIO and dropped the dependency on the
LFC. The SL5 and SL6 RPMs of these new release are distributed via the
WLCG repo. We would like to ask all FAX sites to complete this RPM
update ASAP, as extensive tests at several sites have shown that it
significantly improves the stability of the FAX services due to the
deterministic nature of RUCIO. The complete instructions on how to set
up the WLCG repo, install/update the RPM, and start/stop FAX service
can be found at:
