Hi Tim,

I don't know if this is what you want to know but on the starlink I just
built on my laptop (64-bit opensuse 13.1)  it seems fine on the following
little test:

gaia WD0830-535.fits
GAIA_DIR = /home/phsaap/software/gstar/bin/gaia
file copy -force /home/phsaap/software/gstar/lib/gaia4.4.5/skycat2.0.cfg
/home/phsaap/.skycat/skycat.cfg

[and it displays something]
