_Visa information_
A foreign visitor to the Russian Federation must possess a valid
passport with a validity date at least 6 months beyond the intended
period of stay, a Russian visa, and
documents testifying the return travel. In most countries you should
apply for the Russian visa to the local Russian Consulate with a
fax/scanned copy of the Letter of
Invitation or Voucher for Accommodation. We recommend you to check at
the local Russian Consulate if they need the original.

The Letter of Invitation (LOI) can be obtained either from the hotel you
intend to stay in, or from the Local Organizing Committee. If you wish
the local organizers to help you
with the visa application please fill in the Visa_Application_Form
available at the conference Website and email it to:
[log in to unmask] along with a copy
of the first page(s) of your passport no later than May 1, 2014. Please
provide the same set of documents for each accompanying person.

You should bear in mind that the LOI and the visa are two different
things. You must first apply for a LOI and then submit the LOI along
with the required visa application documents
to the Russian Embassy or Consulate in your country of residence.

You may also apply for a Letter of Invitation or Voucher for
Accommodation by yourself; see the information about visas to Russia on
the web site: Website: http://www.gotorussia.ru

Important: Russian law requires that you register your visa within 3
working days upon your arrival in Russia. Otherwise you may have
problems leaving the country.
The registration can be made either by the hotel you stay in or by
conference organizers.
