The Society of Biology seeks volunteers for 'Biology: Changing the World', a public engagement project on the history of the life sciences in the UK, funded by the Heritage Lottery and in partnership with the BBSRC.

No background knowledge or experience is required, just an interest in biology and history. Two days of training are provided in return for spending half a day writing about inspirational scientists, helping at a local event, or sharing the resources of the
project. Training events are going to be held in London (18th June and 14th July), Manchester (4th and 27th June) and Newcastle (27th May and 24th June). Volunteers should be able to attend both training session nearest to them, with reasonable travel costs
