ESRI Developer - South West - £38-£43k - Permanent role My client is a leading provider of GIS Solutions. This post is for an integral member of the team who has proven GIS skills, accompanied by strong development skills using ESRI predominantly. The role is an ideal opportunity for an intelligent and ambitious consultant with an aptitude for scripting development who is looking to join an organisation which they can reach their potential. Essential: •Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the principles of a GIS and its applications to support business decision making •Working knowledge of the full Esri product stack (ArcGIS) at version 10.0 and later – including client and server capabilities from an advanced user and preferably developer perspective •Strong aptitude with client and web development using Python, Javascript, C#.NET •Strong problem solving abilities •Able to interact confidently with customers •Experience of direct customer liaison Desirable: •Experience developing in Flex •UX and UI graphic design skills •Ability to support wider Business Development and promotion activities. •Experience of geospatial research activities and writing concise reports •Experience of design and deployment of geospatial web applications •Experience of other geospatial software including open source •Experience of implementing desktop/server based geospatial software •Experience of troubleshooting geospatial systems My client's staff are employed on a wide variety of projects , with staff working both as individuals, and as part of a wider team. On occasion, staff are embedded into customer organisations to provide direct support to the customer. As well as technical integration, configuration and development outputs, other outputs and deliverables are varied and include written reports and investigations, verbal presentations or the running of workshops to capture user requirements. You will be degree educated and be comfortable with working both at various client sites across the UK and internationally. Importantly you must be a UK Citizen and meet the criteria for security clearance or in an ideal world already be DV cleared. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
