Dear all, Just a reminder about the following job opportunity at Centre of the Cell. Centre of the Cell is the first science education centre in the world to be located within medical research laboratories. The Centre is located in Whitechapel, Tower Hamlets, East London. We are seeking a Project Coordinator to coordinate the development, delivery and evaluation of new interactive learning activities on genetics and inheritance suitable for primary-school aged students and their families. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the project is delivered in time and on budget. Suitable candidates will have experience of developing learning activities and resources and of working with children and families. Thorough knowledge and understanding of work practices related to informal learning and outreach is essential. They will need to be enthusiastic in communicating science with the public and show excellent organisational skills to deliver a successful project. Experience of project management is also desirable. The post is part time (2 days a week / 0.4FTE) for 6 months starting from April 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter. Starting salary will be in the range £24,973 - £25,653 pro rata inclusive of London Allowance. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
