I have just joined the GEM email discussion list and am really excited about tapping into the network.
I also have a burning question which I'd love some help with.
Over the next 4 months I want to develop creative writing workshops for 11 to 14 year old pupils where objects will be employed for developing stories.
I've read some brilliant storytelling books like Betty Rosen's 'And None of It Was Nonsense' but there are few references in any of these texts to how objects can be used as a stimulus to get students
inspired and motivated to write.
Would any of you be able to suggest museums where there are successful programmes using objects to develop literacy/writing? Or would you recommend any research or
books that have great case studies? Maybe you know of some fantastic storytellers too that have perfected the art of storytelling through objects.
