Hi Amy
You could try Remark – they have produced subtitling for museum and gallery multi-media and video presentations. There are others too so do compare.
Deepa Shastri at StageText might provide some advice or recommendations too. StageText provides live speech to text transcription (STT or live subtitling) for museums/galleries, they may offer a recommendation for film subtitling.

Don’t forget those people who use British Sign Language as a first language not English; consider providing choice of subtitles and sign video by a deaf presenter. There are an increasing number of examples of this inclusive offer in museums and galleries. Happy to give some pointers.

Subject: Subtitling films
Can anyone recommend a company who can subtitle a film.
I'm looking for someone who will, given the movie file, watch it, produce a transcript and overlay subtitles.
Thanks,
