What does the new Primary Curriculum mean to museums?

A collaborative session for museums professionals looking at the pitfalls and possibilities in the new Primary National Curriculum

Learning intention:  To discover how to navigate and negotiate the winding pathways of the new primary National Curriculum.

Led by Kari Gordon, Heritage Learning Specialist, by the end of the session delegates will have developed confidence, ideas and strategies for sessions supporting the new curriculum.

 Course content:

• Overview of the new Primary Curriculum and an in-depth look at the new KS1 and KS 2 primary history curriculum. 
• What are schools actually doing?
• How to incorporate elements of the perfect Ofsted lessons into your schools sessions. 
• How can museums respond?  A workshop with ideas and suggestions. 
• What it might mean to me: Sharing ideas and sessions
• Queries and questions
