I read in the FSLVBM and randomise utilities that confound regressors may be added to the design matrix.  

1—how is this done, is there an online WIKI or pdf that give the details

2—can continuous linear variables (e.g., age) be added as a primary IV in the design matrix, or otherwise, for VBM or randomise.
