At the link below, I have upload several pictures of a large canid that was recovered from a mid-18th century site on the east coast of the USA.  I am hoping to find out if someone may be able to identify from what canid the bones come.  I don't have access to a comparative skeleton of a wolf or coyote to distinguish them from a large breed of dog.  It would be an important distinction because historical accounts record problems with wolves, though I don't know if they distinguished between wolves or coyotes or lumped them together as large dangerous wild canids.
 
The radius does have 3 cut marks at the distal end. I am sorry that the scapulae are not in better condition, but the feature they were recovered from was discovered through shovel testing and those two bone were damaged and not able to be mended.
