Open Education Week: Opening minds, sharing resources, and developing collective practice

The purpose of this HEA sponsored event is to mark Open Education Week and to raise awareness of the opportunities, advantages and challenges surrounding open education and to explore strategies to increase engagement in the use/development
of open educational resources.
The event will share findings from a number of recent projects and initiatives to stimulate discussion.
The objectives of this workshop are to:
• raise awareness of open educational resources and practices and to explore strategies to increase engagement/uptake across the sector
• to disseminate findings and outputs from a number of recent research projects and OER initiatives; and
• generate discussion about best practice in the use of open tools and resources in higher education.
Speakers include: Dr Keith Smyth, Dr Anne Wheeler, Dr Sarah Atkinson, Adam Bailey, Dr Lucy Robinson & Chrissi Nerantzi.
