I think the double whammy of doing a meta-narrative of the spread and diffusion of realist synthesis is almost irresistible! Perhaps using a couple of "contemperaneous control methods" so that you can compare and contrast spread with the stimulation of RAMESES list, standards and training materials against non-intervened methodologies. There is a potential there to use some bibliometrics, impact case studies and also theory from a famous research report on Diffusion of Innovations :-) BW ANdrew On 10/02/2014 08:39, Soo Downe wrote: > I agree with Justin - and Im not sure my post below got to the list? > > >>>> Hmm - maybe the first question is who is doing what where and how in the name of realist methods (the bigger research question being ' what is the natural uptake/spread/evolution of a new scientific paradigm), and how far do they adhere to/progress the RAMSES standards?!>>> > All the best > > Soo > > > From: Soo Downe > Sent: 09 February 2014 18:32 > To: [log in to unmask]; 'Trish Greenhalgh' > Subject: RE: Analysing Data in Realistic evaluation > > Hmm - maybe the first question is who is doing what where and how in the name of realist methods (the bigger research question being ' what is the natural uptake/spread/evolution of a new scientific paradigm), and how far do they adhere to/progress the RAMSES standards?! > > All the best > > Soo > > From: Realist and Meta-narrative Evidence Synthesis: Evolving Standards [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Trish Greenhalgh > Sent: 09 February 2014 17:04 > To: [log in to unmask] > Subject: Re: Analysing Data in Realistic evaluation > > Kevin > > Meet us halfway, propose a provisional research question (or evaluation question, or pedagogical question). > > Trish Greenhalgh > Professor of Primary Health Care and Dean for Research Impact > Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry > 58 Turner St > London E1 2AB > UK > +44 20 7882 7325 > [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> > @trishgreenhalgh > > > > From: Kevin Harris <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> > Reply-To: "Realist and Meta-narrative Evidence Synthesis: Evolving Standards" <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>>, Kevin Harris <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> > Date: Sunday, 9 February 2014 17:01 > To: "[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>" <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> > Subject: Analysing Data in Realistic evaluation > > Hi There > > As another lurker emerging from the shadows I just wanted to say how unbelievably useful this mailing list has been for me.
