Hi Phil
We did put some up as you described with no problems, but not many visitors. I would agree with all Jan said.
Could you consider a 'secondary glaze' on the box? Might help a little?
Best wishes

Hi Phil,
The glass in these lovely old mounts is pretty old, and often very thin. There is potential for people to put their hands through it, or even a gentle knock could
smash the glass.
Often the glass is loose (because the lining has come away) so it could slip out from the box.
It’s a nice idea, but I would be cautious.
Hope that helps!

Subject: Taxidermy display
Hi Natsca people
Has anyone ever experienced any problems with displaying box mounted mounted taxidermy like the below on a wall in a gallery setting without external casing? Specifically we are planning to display
above head height using their existing mirror plates and security screws. The room will not be supervised constantly but we have CCTV
Cheers
Phil
