5th International Conference on Nutrition and Nurture in Infancy and Childhood:  Relational, Bio-cultural and Spatial Perspectives
(MAINN with University of Western Sydney)

The University of Western Sydney School of Nursing and Midwifery in collaboration with the Maternal and Infant Nutrition and Nurture (MAINN) Unit, School of Health, University of Central Lancashire (UK) are proud to host the 5th International Conference on Nutrition and Nurture in Infancy and Childhood.
This conference aims to explore the social, cultural, biological and relational influences on maternal and child nutrition and infant feeding. The conference will also examine:

*       innovations in global, national and local strategies related to maternal and child nutrition including new directions in the BFHI (BFI) and models of peer support for breastfeeding;
*       the impact of contemporary public health messages including those related to maternal nutrition in pregnancy and childhood obesity;
*       the place of culture and relationships in maternal /infant nutrition and feeding practices;
*       how public spaces - in the community and in maternity and neonatal units - enhance closeness and create caring communities

Keynote Speakers and Workshop Presenters include:

We welcome abstracts that present research findings, implementation of global and national initiatives, innovations in practice and community development addressing the conference aims.
