medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Dear medieval-religion colleagues,

I was intrigued by this, a presentation in Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights of the music transcribed on someone’s posterior:

Is this melody remotely similar to any medieval music that you know? If so, might there be a link to a text that is particularly pertinent to paradise (or buttocks, for that matter)?

Thanks for your consideration of this — best wishes, George
