This post to the Antiquist seems relevant to recent discussions about Linked Open Data publishing... Cheers, Mia ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Ceri Binding <[log in to unmask]> Date: 5 February 2014 17:11 Subject: [Antiquist] Heritage vocabulary user interface controls made available To: [log in to unmask] A recent blog post from the AHRC funded SENESCHAL project describes a suite of functional user interface 'widget' controls that can be embedded directly within browser based applications providing access to online Linked Open Data vocabulary resources. The controls use a set of web services to provide access to the vocabularies hosted on http://www.heritagedata.org facilitating vocabulary navigation, search and selection functionality. A set of associated demonstration pages show how to configure and use each widget control, and how to combine them to create functionally rich user interfaces. This is a preliminary release of the widget controls, and further documentation will be forthcoming (via the blog). Hopefully they will serve as exemplars to engender discussion and additional ideas about what people might want to do with these vocabularies. As always comments and suggestions are very welcome via email or the blog. The SENESCHAL project is coordinated by the Hypermedia Research Unit at the University of South Wales.
