Founded in 1892, London South Bank University is one of London’s oldest universities, and with over 25,000 students it is also one of the largest. This post is based at our health-focused campus at Havering but will also involve cross-site working at the University’s main library, located on our Southwark campus.
We now require a talented individual to join the Academic Liaison Team to provide information skills training to groups and individuals, ensuring that users are able to get the most from our extensive range of print and electronic resources. Working alongside the User Services Co-ordinator, you will also supervise Learning Resources Assistants based at Havering.
You will have a degree or equivalent and a professional qualification in librarianship or information science together with experience of teaching information literacy skills in higher education. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to use technology to enhance training activities, and line management experience. A flexible attitude and positive approach to teamwork are essential in this role.
