Course Outline: 
As the requirement to present to an audience and create presentations
for use online becomes ubiquitous across many different information
roles, this course equips delegates with the skills and confidence they
need to excel at it.

Aspects of presentation skills covered include:
* Presentation preparation: researching content, tailoring to different
audiences and rooms
* Where to find fabulous (and copyright cleared) images and fonts to use
in presentations
* Presenting: practice, delivery, confidence - and finding what works
for you
* No more death by PowerPoint! Making beautiful and incredibly effective
sides
* A guide to using Prezi, the zooming presentation software
* Advanced tips and how to make messages stick - what the research shows

Information professionals at any stage of their careers who wish to
improve a range of presentation skills.

Course Presenter: Ned Potter
Ned Potter is Academic Liaison Librarian at the University of York, as
well as a trainer and presenter.  His slide-decks have been 'Featured
Presentations' on Slideshare's homepage several times and have reached
over a quarter of a million people.  His guides to Prezi are promoted by
Prezi themselves.  He is part of the Prezi Pioneer programme and was
Technical Reviewer for the book Mastering Prezi for Business
Presentations.  Ned is also the author of the Library Marketing Toolkit
published by Facet Publishing in 2012 and has given training for the
British Library, Bodleian Libraries and the Latvian Ministry of Culture
