I reckon it should be DSAable. Would the note-taker be prepared to transcribe the lecture from the recording and claim their hours as usual?

Subject: Payment for transcribing

Dear Colleagues

A deaf student has had to miss some lectures because of the tube strike - her note taker was also unable to attend.
There is a recording of the lectures available which the student would like transcribed. Would you expect the student's department to pay for this service? I'm assuming it wouldn't come from her DSA?

Thanks

Rebecca
