Rachel Aldred did some nice research on stigmatisation of cyclists which might be the sort of thing you might find useful. You might also be aware of the somewhat self-selected data of the more problematic encounters between cyclists and motorists recorded by helmet-cam. There are many examples of the helmet cam approach on You Tube. The important thing is that the particular encounters that are uploaded are usually problematic ones. But as long as you take this bias in sampling, you get an idea of what problematic encounters look like. :-) 

There have also been some nice press articles by Lesley Riddoch on the experience of cycling from a non-hardened cyclist's point of view in the Herald (scottish newspaper) They were referenced in our campaign's website, www.pedalonparliament.org
