This year's Museum Ethnographers Group conference will be held in the University of Aberdeen on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 April. It will focus on 'Collections, Collaboration and Communities', with sessions including 'Collections and source communities', 'Museums as collaborating communities' and 'Participative re-interpretation of collections', along with short reports on current work and time for discussion.

The conference also include a social programme with a dinner and ceilidh, with opportunities to visit museums in Aberdeen, particularly a visit to the collections in store and the exhibition 'Fiji, Scotland and the making of Empire'.
