In this lecture Dr Joseph will address the history of constitutionalism in Grenada; the concept of constitutionalism as inclusive of the doctrine of separation of powers, independence of the judiciary and the rule of law; the overthrow of the constitutional government in Grenada; the return to constitutionalism.

Dr Lawrence Joseph is President of the Senate of Grenada and he is also a practising lawyer.  Formerly he was Grenada's Attorney General and Speaker of the House of Representatives.  He is the current holder of the prestigious S T Lee Visiting Professorial Fellowship at the University of London's School of Advanced Study.
