Hi,
I am in the
process of designing a syllabus for a course on urbanization and development in a global context. The course will be geared towards upper-level undergraduates. Does anyone have syllabi they would be willing to share for a similar course? I am especially interested in suggestions for good readings that take critical approaches to analyzing trends in urban development but that do not require extensive background in geography and critical theory, something most of my students won't have. I am also looking for suggestions on engaging book chapters or case studies that look at urban poverty in the global south.
Thanks in advance for all of your suggestions,
Dena
