Dear Mark,

I might have been wrong. In the first message you stated "and group level analysis contains 2 contrasts.", which I interpreted as if you had one group model with a single factor and two factor levels. However, it seems you ran some single-subject analyses, built one contrast vector a subject based on the two stimulus conditions, getting one con image per subject, forwarding the con images to two different multiple regression models. Then you thresholded the SPM for regressor/model 1 and the same for the SPM of regressor/model 2 and forwarded them to Imcalc. This should be okay.

Concerning an overlap of 2 voxels, well. The interpretation "The activation during A (or A > B) in two voxels located in brain region x correlated both with score y and z at an uncorrected voxel threshold of .001" should be formally correct. Whether it is a good idea to interpret such a finding is another issue, this depends on the specific data set / hypothesis ...

Hope this helps,

Helmut
