We are looking to put together a proposal for the science
communication strand for our Enlightenment Cafe. (they are looking to
fund science cafes!)

To see what the show is about please follow the
below document.

We would love
to sit down with anyone (including Pan-European organisations) who would
like to explore a proposal together under The Enlightenment Cafe.

Many Thanks

Thanks for this Melanie. Triggered me to remind list
members that one of the best ways of getting to know these new funding
schemes from the inside, and hence have a better chance of extracting
cash from them, is to sign up as an Expert Evaluator for Horizon 2020
proposals. This involves registering as an Expert and creating a profile
that specifies your area of expertise. And you do get paid [although not
exactly a fortune].

Horizon 2020 is the new European Framework for research
and innovation, which commenced in January 2014 and continues until the
end of 2020.

This new funding programme focusses much more strongly
than did its predecessors on industrially-led innovation. Consequently
it provides major new opportunities for UK-based chemical and
biotechnology industries to enhance their innovative capabilities and
hence to improve their market shares through the acquisition of
substantial leverage funding from Horizon 2020.
