A couple of my concerns are around the revalidation system.
1. Managers being a primary validater – I see this as great scope for bullying.
2. What about sole practitioners etc

More specifically the link is (not sure if this will work) - your response to the consultation by filling in the online survey.
Like Campbell I have also filled it in and there is scope to put our OH concerns/difficulties/comments with this future process.
I think those of us working outside the NHS really do need to respond, particularly if like me you are not part of an appraisal system.

For anyone who does not receive correspondence from the SOM nurses register please see below their following message regarding NMC revalidation & revised code.
The NMC has opened a consultation on revalidation and the revised Code
The Nursing and Midwifery Council has opened part one of a two part, six month public consultation, which will run from January until July 2014. The consultation as a whole will address revising the Code (the standards of good nursing and midwifery practice) and implementing revalidation.
In part one, which runs from 6 January until 31 March, NMC is focusing its consultation on how the proposed model of revalidation can be implemented in a variety of employment settings and scopes of practice. This will help ensure the model launched in December 2015 is flexible and fit for purpose. They will also use this part of the consultation to gather information to draft a revised Code and develop guidance for revalidation.
