Hi, following the instructions above, please find my introduction below.

Lisa Common BA(Hons), MA (Dist), RM

I am a qualified midwife who is currently undertaking a full-time PhD programme with the University of Nottingham, Business School supported by the Health Foundation. My aim is to develop a research project around models of care to support home birth in England. I am particularly interested in understanding how the application of theoretical models may contribute to improvements in maternity care. I qualified as a midwife in 2008 and have experience as a rotational and core labour suite midwife in the hospital setting, and as a community midwife too. I also have experience as a Lecturer Practitioner with the University of Nottingham. I am currently working part-time as a core labour suite midwife in Nottingham.
