Cheney (eds.) Councils and synods, with other documents relating to the English Church. Volume 2: Part 1, A.D. 1205-1265. Part 2, 1265-1313. Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1964. It is of course the second volume - although published first. The first volume (also published in 2 parts) was: D. Whitelock; M. Brett; C. N. L. Brooke (eds.), Councils and Synods, with Other Documents Relating to the English Church. Volume 1: Part 1, A.D. 871-1066; Part 2, A.D. 1066-1204. Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1981. The name "Haddan" (and the incorrect title) crept in because the work is a continuation of: A.W Haddan and W. Stubbs (eds.), Councils and ecclesiastical documents relating to Great Britain and Ireland. Three volumes, Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1869-78. The period after 1313 is now covered by: Gerald Bray (ed.), Records of Convocation. 20 volumes, Boydell & Brewer, 2006.
