Hello:
I'm writing to you as I want to tell you about an event that I think will be of interest to you and your Mandarin students. It is a theatre show written and performed by a British man about living and working in China. What's more, he performs it in simple Mandarin and subtitles himself in English or, to be more precise, Chinglish as he uses Google translate to make a deliberately imperfect translation.
The resulting show is both intelligent and amusing and it will be followed by a post-show discussion where your students will be able to ask questions and find out more about how it is to work in China today. It is a perfect extra-curricular activity for Mandarin learners and a great way to mark Chinese New Years Day
The show is written and performed by Bill Aitchison a well known and established British artist. It was made with the support of the British Council China and Arts Council England and created at the Chinese European Art Centre in Xiamen, PRC. There is more on it here:

The venue Richmix is fully accessible and just a two minute walk from Shoreditch High Street (overground) and easy walking distance from Old Street and Liverpool Street stations. I have postcards advertising the show that I'd be delighted to send to you if you distribute them to your students.
