They all achieved the excellent results. In the feedback training course the chief examiner indicated that it is fine if a candidate mixed two versions but the character is correct. I think this is fair for all the Chinese learners. My student initially learnt traditional Chinese and for the last two years she switched to lean simplified Chinese. She is able to read most simplified characters but in the writing, very often she writes in traditional characters. She will be doing her GCSE soon, will she get marked down if she mixes traditional and simplified characters in her answers?
