FEBRUARY EVENT: INTRODUCING CILIP’S NEW LONDON MEMBER NETWORK (LMN)

Come and meet the new Network Committee, hear from CILIP’s senior management about the regional networks and tell the Committee what you want the London Network to do!

Speaker: Simon Edwards, Director of Professional Services, CILIP

Date: Wednesday 12 February 2014

Time: 5.30 to 8.30 pm

Venue: The Maughan Library, Weston Room, King’s College, Chancery Lane, London WC2R 1LR

Map: http://www.kcl.ac.uk/campuslife/campuses/strand/Strand.aspx

It is now CILIP policy to combine the functions of regional Branches with those of the regional branches of the Career Development Group. In due course, the result will be a series of regional member networks across England. The LMN came into being on 1 January 2014.

Simon will explain the thinking behind CILIP’s decision, what CILIP expects the member networks to achieve for members and how the relationship between regional networks and headquarters can work. There will be an opportunity to ask questions of Simon. Then there will be a structured discussion in which the Committee would like to know what London members expect of their LMN – in particular, the priority to be given to intended responsibilities, the key subjects to be addressed in this first period of life, and which topics should form the basis of planned events.

This is a free event and drinks and nibbles will be provided.
