Hi, Karen.  Is this for protecting the public, wanting to plug in their own laptops?  After taking advice we decided to let people plug into our power sockets - we are not offering any kind of surge protection.  We have T&Cs stating that this is at their own risk, and that this can only be done at seats where trailing wires aren't going to trip anybody.

The risks are low.  We've been doing this for over a year now with no incidents.

Hi there

I have been looking for some time for power sockets for use in public library which will provide some surge protection and greater access to power sockets in library public space. I noticed great tower power devices at the Hive library but have failed to find any product details about them. Does anyone use anything similar or found any solutions?

We need something that is not easily nickable and not very expensive.

Yours hopefully
