Hi, Karen. Is this for protecting the public, wanting to plug in their own laptops? After taking advice we decided to let people plug into our power sockets - we are not offering any kind of surge protection. We have T&Cs stating that this is at their own risk, and that this can only be done at seats where trailing wires aren't going to trip anybody. The risks are low. We've been doing this for over a year now with no incidents.
