The 4th Academic & Research Libraries Group South West (ARLG SW) Discover Academic Research Training and Support (DARTS 4) conference will be held at Dartington Hall, Totnes, on Thursday 5th - Friday 6th June 2014.  This will be the fourth in ARLG SW's successful series of residential conferences for librarians and information professionals supporting research.

The programme runs from 12noon on Thursday to 3.30pm on Friday and will include:

Sheila Corrall (University of Pittsburgh) - Library space for researchers: "From Reading Rooms to Research Commons"
Jenni Crossley (UWE) - "Research Data Management: where are we now?"
Leigh Garrett (UCA) - Research Data Management in the Creative Arts
Katie Fraser + Nathan Rush (DeMontfort University) - Communication with research students
Neil Jacobs (JISC) - "Open Access: recalibrating the relationships between libraries, research offices, publishers, funders and others"
Yvonne Budden (UKCoRR): "Open Access at the Coal Face: attitudes and practical responses"
Miggie Picton (University of Nottingham) - Librarian as Researcher

As at previous DARTS conferences, there will be plenty of interactive sessions and opportunities for networking.

Full conference rate:  £320 plus VAT
Early bird rate (until 21st March):   £275 plus VAT
ARLG member rate (after 21st March):  £300 plus VAT

Bed & Breakfast overnight accommodation for Thursday 5th June is included, as are break-time refreshments, lunch on Thursday, a conference dinner on Thursday evening, and lunch on Friday.
