Dear All

As part of the HEA STEM (Biological Sciences) workshop series, UWS is delighted to host a workshop entitled  ‘Hidden Vegetables and Other Good Stuff: Embedding Policy Drivers in the Science Curriculum’.

This event will outline a model developed from a student centred approach to embedding PDP, graduate attributes and employability into the science curriculum. The workshop will provide information and opportunities discussion around ensuring that PDP, graduate attributes and employability are meaningful in terms of the students’ learning experiences and will therefore be of interest to staff working in all subject areas, especially those with an interest in/responsibility for supporting student learning, PDP, Graduate Attributes and Employability.   The workshop will offer opportunities for delegates to:

•             Explore new ways of conceptualising and implementing curriculum development.

•             Explore new ways of understanding and supporting the student learning experience.

•             Explore new and creative ways of embedding effective learning and employability in science and other discipline teaching.

•             Explore innovative ways to respond to the subject specific learning needs of an increasingly large and diverse student population.

•             Engage with learning tasks and resources which can be adapted for use in a range of institutional settings and subject areas.
