2014 IDA HERZ LECTURE

(English Goethe Society Annual General Meeting 5.45-6 p.m.)

Thomas Sprecher (Zurich):
‚Mehr Recht, mehr Glück‘:
Thomas Mann und das Recht im Exil

Thomas Sprecher was until recently Director of the Zurich Thomas Mann Archive, in succession to Paul Scherrer and Hans Wysling. As well as being the author of a substantial list of books and articles on Thomas Mann and one of the General Editors of the Frankfurt edition of the works, he is in his main profession a lawyer. He is thus ideally qualified to talk about this unusual and intriguing subject.
