We are looking for a motivated researcher to work on projects in reservoir geomechanics
focusing on fracture characterization in surface outcrops and wells, rock mechanical testing
and/or numerical modeling of tectonic stresses. As employment will be for three years with a
possible prolongation for another three years, it is expected that the successful candidate will
also develop own externally funded research projects.
Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in geology or geophysics. A strong
background in structural geology, rock mechanics, seismic interpretation and/or numerical
modeling is required. Good communication and computing skills (ideally AnsysŪ und PetrelŪ) are
essential. It is expected that the successful candidate contributes to teaching of undergraduate
and graduate courses.
Salary level and benefits are equivalent to 100% TV 13 (TV - TU Darmstadt). The Technical
